Overview

Insight® manages the complexity and chaos typically present in a large organization through its service management component. It efficiently manages the asset or service inventory, utilization, and the relationships between them. Further, the business reporting system allows analysis of data to produce pre-defined and custom reports through the reporting engine. It stores information on products, accounts, service, and other billing data in a combination of relational databases and OLAP cubes. Lastly, the bill processing module reconciles transactions and vendor bills and provides the necessary data processing and transformation capabilities to the Insight application. The following is a brief description of some of the key modules and components in Insight and some of their design and technical details. Download the Product PDF file for a complete description.

Insight's integrated technology solution is powered by the advanced Service Manager platform. Unlike any other solution available today, the Service Manager platform unifies and automates the processes that make up the spend life cycle. As a result, companies are able to change the way they plan, manage, support, and track their IT and telecommunications expenses.
The Service Manager platform is built on enterprise-scale technology that delivers security, flexibility, and compatibility with other enterprise solutions. Its distributed modular architecture supports multiple network configurations and incorporates an advanced suite of software and workflow processes built on Microsoft data and communications systems.
